Defending NASCAR K&N Pro Series West champion Chris Eggleston battled engine problems this past weekend at Utah Motorsports Campus.  The trouble under the hood of his No. 50 NAPA Filters Toyota relegated to him to finishes of 19th and 21st in the weekend doubleheader.

Eggleston had been in the mix to defend his NASCAR K&N West Pro Series title, but with the issues in Utah this weekend he has fallen to seventh in points with just two races left.

“Not a lot of positive came from this weekend,” Eggleston admitted.  “For some reason, we had to fight through motor adversity all weekend long.  Through all of that, our No. 50 NAPA Filter BMR team never gave up.  However, this weekend was just not meant to be.”

Eggleston is going to take the weekend to work on getting his Super Late Model fixed and ready to race before the K&N West Series heads to Meridian Speedway on Saturday, September 24.
